“Quarter Round” Typeface / Wallpaper

The Challenge
How can the creation of a controlled randomized environment, ideate, accompany and accelerate the creative design process?

The Result
A custom-coded digital program was developed to generate randomized patterns curated by the program user. Controlled colour palettes mixed with random rotational positions of a quarter-round shape feed a system that builds endless variations of the pattern. The tool enabled a program lead series of grid arrangements primed for varying design executions. The grid system was leveraged to become the framework for a custom-designed display typeface. Quarter Round is a unique symbiosis of machine and man in all its applications.
